Electric Forest‘s 2022 return to Rothbury, Michigan’s enchanting wilderness has been yet another long-awaited homecoming after a three-year hiatus. This year, the Insomniac property offers an unbeatable lineup complete with performances by Disclosure, CloZee, one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists to Watch in 2022, fred again.. and so many more. While it’s impossible to ignore the lineup’s heaviest hitters, beyond the bold print lies tons up-and-coming talents that would be foolish to overlook. While the length of the list could rival one’s packing list for the June 23 – 26 affair, we highlighted five of Dancing Astronaut’s must-see up-and-comers at this year’s Electric Forest.

LP Giobbi

Hitting home-runs almost every single week for the last six months, LP Giobbi has proven herself to be one of DA’s most prominent Artists to Watch yet, if not for her immaculate production expertise but the sheer volume of her releases alone. Most recently, LP has emitted her collaboration with J. WorraCheck Out,” her unique and syncopated take on Portugal. The Man’s, “What, Me Worry?” along with a euphoric remix of San Holo‘s “bb u ok?,” to name only a few. In addition to this powerhouse energy, Giobbi is also the co-founder of Femme House, a non-profit dedicated to giving women and non-binary folks a space to learn and hone their production skills, free of charge. If Electric Forest attendees are looking for a fun-filled party fueled by Giobbi’s signature piano-house progressions, an upbeat atmosphere, and a DJ whose energy and ear-to-ear grin is particularly infectious, don’t sleep on LP Giobbi’s set. Saturday at 6:15 p.m. ET at the Tripolee stage; be there.

EVAN GIIA

One of modern dance music’s most beloved voices EVAN GIIA has been churning out massive numbers with inspiring ferocity. Readers may know her from her Foreign Family output, “WESTWORLD” back in 2018, but those who have been keeping up have also seen the up-and-comer featured on mega-hits like Louis The Child‘s recent trophy with Kasbo, “Blow The Roof” as well as “Messin’ Me Up” with What So Not, and her own “In Motion” alongside Reo Cragun and MEMBA. Her sets are always a source of uptempo grooves and refreshing energy, making EVAN GIIA set a must-see for the weekend. Find her at the Tripolee stage on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET.

Moore Kismet

Long on the radar as on of the most magnetizing artists of the current day, Moore Kismet has proven to their community that they are not one to look past. Producing since the age of eight, this dance music prodigy has risen to every occasion to elevate not only their sound but the broader dance community since emerging on the scene. As Dancing Astronaut’s Breakout Artist of 2021 Kismet made headlines, becoming youngest performer at two of America’s largest festivals in that year including EDC Las Vegas and Chicago’s Lollapalooza. One of the leading forces in bass music and experimental soundscapes, the 17-year-old has just delivered their latest track “Wasteland” ahead of their debut LP UNIVERSE, and suffice it to say that Kismet has held the dance world captivated and standing at attention. Catch them at Tripolee at 8:15 p.m. ET on Friday, June 23.

Mindchatter

After graduating from esteemed production program ICON Collective in Los Angeles, New York City’s Mindchatter emerges as one of the most prominent acts on the rise. First spotted in Dancing Astronaut’s 5 Under 15k: Volume 30 back in the summer of 2020 for his singles “Language” and “Scared to Go Home,” the producer/singer/songwriter has continuously leveled up his game year-over-year. Since then, the breakout beatsmith has delivered his freshman LP Imaginary Audience and most recently his sophomore studio work, DREAM SOUP—produced entirely on his own without features. Only picking up DJing as recently as 2021 when asked to tour with Polo & Pan, the blossoming artist shows an immense amount of promise while still at the very beginning of what is sure to be a decorated career. He’ll be playing at Tripolee on Saturday, June 25 6:00 p.m. ET.

Eli & Fur

Though they’ve been around for some time, there’s no question Eli & Fur are currently caught in a moment. Fresh off the heels of the late 2021 delivery of their debut studio LP Found In The Wild, London natives Eliza Noble and Jennifer Skillman, have claimed their stake as one of house music’s most captivating duos. Diving into the deep house realm, the two perfectly convey their long-standing production experience throughout their unique catalogue. Their sure-to-be grooving set will be at 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 26 at Tripolee.
